Red Band Trailer: Evil Dead

Here's what we've been waiting for folks. Ever since that lucky jerk Matt described the teaser trailer from Comic Con a few weeks back, I've been waiting very impatiently for the actual footage to release...and I was not disappointed in the slightest.
I winced like five times. The trailer is striking, gritty, delightfully horrifying, and there's a few callbacks to the original. I mean just look at the last few minutes! Jebus, man! I'm willing to trust that Fede Alvarez knows exactly what he's doing with this. And if the trailer doesn't win you over quite yet, just remember that it's Campbell approved after all.

There's a whole lot of Quentin Tarantino going on at the end of the year. There's Django Unchained on Christmas Day and there's the Tarantino XX: 8-Film Collection Blu-ray in late November. Sandwiched between those, however, is the return of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction to the big screen, both playing one night only through Fathom Events.
Reservoir Dogs (which turned 20 this year) is up first on Tuesday, December 4th. Pulp Fiction will follow on Thursday, December 6th. Both screenings start at 7:00pm.
For more info, go here for Reservoir Dogs and go here for Pulp Fiction.

Community Season Four News of the Day

Community Season Four News of the Day:

Poor Community can't catch a break -- it's not canceled yet, but NBC has fired the creator, moved it to Friday, delayed the premiere indefinitely, and recently snubbed it for an open Wednesday slot.

Never fear, fans of Greendale! The cast has filmed this cheeky video update to assure us class is still in session. Someday.

Arrested Development Documentary Trailer

Arrested Development Documentary Trailer:
Maybe it’s coincidence that I wore my Arrested Development t-shirt today, maybe not.  This documentary, about one of my favorite TV shows of all time, is being put together by two superfans- Neil and Jeff.
“The overall goal of the documentary is to provide awareness of this brilliant, witty and original comedy. We have already completed our interviews with fans, cast and crew.”
The two both live and work in LA and the project is self funded. You can check out their website and follow the project on twitter.

BREAKING: Real Ninja Turtle LEGO Sets Are Coming

BREAKING: Real Ninja Turtle LEGO Sets Are Coming: lego-tmnt-1.jpg

I hate to have two LEGO related posts only separated by a single other article, but you know what they say: when life hands you lemons, you squeeze that shit into a fresh cut and EMBRACE THE PAIN. So officially licensed LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sets are coming out next year. Related: I will probably be perpetually broke all of 2013. Unrelated: the dog just busted ass so bad I had to do a double take to make sure there weren't any solids on the couch.

Hit the jump for worthwhile shots of some of the planned minifigs and playsets.
