Vintage Illustrations Of Alice In Wonderland By Salvador Dali

Vintage Illustrations Of Alice In Wonderland By Salvador Dali:

Just when you thought Alice in Wonderland couldn't get any more psychedelic, we drop these illustrations by Dali on you and your mind is officially blown!
Here's more about this amazing series by Dali:
In 1969, Salvador Dali produced a stunning series of illustrations for Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s tale Alice in Wonderland—in Brainpickings’ words, it was “a collaboration of epic proportion”.

These illustrations were then published in book form—containing all twelve drawings, one for each chapter—and went on to become one of the most highly coveted art book of all times.

The artist managed to render the dream-like content of the story even more surreal with his vivid and colorful signature style in this rare collectible tome.

A copy of this sought after book was last seen on Amazon, retailing for a hefty US$12,900—luckily for you, you can see all the digital prints of the illustrations right here without paying a cent.
Apparently 1969 was a very good year for tripping out!

Fifth Element Fhloston Paradise Recreated In LEGO

Fifth Element Fhloston Paradise Recreated In LEGO: fifth-element-lego-13.jpg

This is the battle on Fhloston Paradise from 'The Fifth Element' recreated in LEGO by builder Matt De Lonoy. The Fifth Element -- now that was a good movie. And not just because an orange-haired Milla Jovovich was running around in less medical bandages than you'd find in a first-aid kit the whole time, but that certainly didn't hurt. "So you're a pervert." I'M A CINEPHILE.

Hit the jump for a ton more from all angles, but be sure to check out Matt's Flickr page with even more in high-res.

Thanks to Laney94, who thought the fifth element was Boron. Right? That was so confusing.

Labyrinth Knocker Earrings

Labyrinth Knocker Earrings:

Sure, these Labyrinth door knocker earrings by DeviantArt user buzhandmade look amazing, but the first thing I'd want to do would be pull the knocker out of the right one's mouth -I always though it was so mean when she shoved it back in his mouth just to enter his door.
